I had a sexual experience with a guy once and got turned on. That wouldn't have happened if I was straight....

Some same-sex activity or experimentation does not mean that you are gay. It might just be part of going through puberty and discovering what these new feelings are all about and how your body works. The fact that you were turned on doesn't mean anything about your sexual orientation either. Teens are easily aroused by anything sexual. Your body itself doesn't know whether a guy or a girl is touching it. It just responds to pleasurable feelings. Anybody can start a car if they have a key. The car doesn't know whether it is the owner or a thief -- it just starts! In the same way, your body will react to touch, whether it is male or female; your body doesn't know the difference.

Sometimes people in your situation later feel they have to "prove" they're not gay, by experimenting sexually with girls. This is not likely to be helpful and may lead to more problems and hurt.
