The other girls are all talking about boyfriends and having sex. I'm just not interested in that stuff right now.. Guess what? While some girls want to get involved in such complicated stuff as sex, many girls do not want to. You may have other interests like practicing swimming, or writing, or maybe just enjoying life the way it is. Guys can wait. There will be plenty of time for them later. "But I'm 17, not 13, and I'm still not interested in guys and sex." In a way you are fortunate. While you are not a child but well on your way to having the full privileges and responsibilities of an adult, you are still young and there is no point in rushing into relationships with boys. There is so much to do with your life; so many options for how to spend your time. It's not a surprise that you aren't interested in dating or sex. The whole world is just opening up for you. You have educational and career decisions to make. You have so many things to occupy yourself. You may find that when you have done some of these big things, that you'll have less stress and more time to be interested in guys. |
